“Smile”, and “say cheese”, are two common expressions that we hear when someone is having their picture taken.  I do get people to smile and laugh when I am taking their photos, but I always hold the cheese, pun intended.   Some people don’t like the way they look when they smile, but that’s probably because the fake smiles just look forced, and unattractive.  A natural smile, when the whole face lights up, is a gem to capture.  So, let’s see why and when the big fake smiles came into fashion.  I found this article that talks about it, and thought I’d share it with you.  By the way, I took the photo of "Smile in the Sky" while I was attending a photography convention in Chicago during Lollapalooza, and this was right over the crowd in Grant Park.  I think there was a lot of smiling and laughing going on that day, no cheese needed.
